A Lifelong Student of Brands
I started my career in visual communications because I was fascinated by how design and storytelling could shape the way people experience a brand.
Over the years, that curiosity has taken me far beyond design. I've had the opportunity to work across creative, brand and content, learning how businesses communicate, how people make decisions and what helps brands earn trust over time.
More recently, that curiosity has led me into search, AI and digital authority. I'm still learning every day, asking questions, testing ideas and trying to understand how the way people discover businesses is changing.
Up The Line Studio is where I document that journey.
It's a place to explore ideas, share what I'm learning and connect the dots between brand, content, search and the future of discovery. Some of those ideas will be validated. Others may be challenged. That's part of the process, and part of what makes the work interesting.
Outside of my career, I'm also an independent Americana singer-songwriter. Writing songs has reinforced something I've always believed: whether you're building a brand or writing music, people connect with authenticity, consistency and stories that mean something.
If you're curious about where brand, content and technology are headed, I hope you'll find something here worth thinking about.
